More than 1,200 competitive racers dashed through the streets of Dallas last week in the third annual Mavs Run This Town 5K, presented by Baylor Emergency Medical Centers.

Runners crossed the finish line at AT&T Plaza, just outside the American Airlines Center, to indulge in the sounds of southern rock, complements of Quaker City Night Hawks, at the Bud Light After Party. The atmosphere was electric, with the Mavs ManiAACs and Mavs Dancers in attendance to re-energize the crowd of racers.

Proceeds raised benefit the Dallas Mavericks Foundation, which empowers youth to focus on healthy bodies and minds through physical activity and education.

This is the third year Baylor Emergency Medical Centers has sponsored the 5K as part of its commitment to health in the community.
