Poor weather conditions didn’t keep runners away from racing for a cause.

HOUSTON – October 26, 2015 — Record-breaking rainfall over the weekend didn’t phase the Dallas racing community. More than 1,500 runners braved the elements to participate in the 2nd Annual Mavs Run This Town 5K presented by Baylor Emergency Medical Centers.

Despite flooding in some areas, runners pushed through the race and ended at Victory Plaza, where they enjoyed an after-party complete with snacks, food trucks and free beverages provided by Bud Light. Baylor Emergency Medical Centers supplied all registrants with branded glow bracelets and first aid kits.

This is the second year Baylor Emergency Medical Centers sponsored the race benefiting Mavs Foundation as part of its commitment to health in the community.

We would like to thank our staff volunteers for weathering the storm in support of these efforts:

  • Christy Ballard
  • Kathleen Ygay
  • Kevin Dodson
